Those who love the outdoors, animals and some beautiful gardens, are invited for a day of enjoying all three and much more.

The annual Ryder Lake Ramble is returning to Chilliwack with participants able to enjoy a relaxing drive through the hillside of Ryder Lake from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.

The event is a self-guided farm-tour set to feature 14 unique venues – 10 returning and four new – with local handicrafts, demonstrations, woodland trails, panoramic vistas and much more all set to be on display.

But of course, no farm tour is complete without some animals. Ramblers will have the chance to interact with llamas, horses, pigs, sheep and even chickens along the way.

Those who may prefer plant life can stop by the many properties displaying gorgeous flowers, spectacular views and some wonderful woodland trails. There will even be a stop at the Valley Permaculture Guild Nursery where plants will be available for sale by donation.

Admission for the Ramble is also by donation with the suggested minimum being $10 per person, or $20 for a family. All proceeds will go towards a new roof for the Ryder Lake Community Hall.

Those who want to enjoy the festivities can donate and pick-up an entry wristband at the Ryder Lake Hall at 49265 Elk View Road in Chilliwack.

Details of this year’s venues can be found on the Ryder Lake Ramble website at ryderlakeramble.ca.
