Sudden death of woman inside Surrey home being investigated as homicide: RCMP

Police have not confirmed the cause of death, but IHIT called in

Homicide police are investigating a sudden death after a woman was found dead inside a Surrey home Friday.

Police received a report of a sudden death of a woman inside a home in the area of 76 Avenue and 142 Street on April 26 around 8:30 p.m. The woman was 33 years old.

Surrey RCMP say it is an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in.

Police are investigating and continuing to gather evidence.

Surrey RCMP have not yet released a cause of death. A release from Mounties Saturday says no further information will be released at this time.
