PHOTOS: Cloudy weather, sunny smiles at Cultus Lake Day event

People took in a parade, vendors’ market, kids zone and more at annual Cultus Lake event

It didn’t rain on their parade, but drops did fall immediately after.

The wet weather held off for the Cultus Lake Day parade at Main Beach on Saturday, June 24.

About 25 floats were in the parade where participants handed out candy, sunglasses, freezies and even free hot dogs to spectators along the route.

Even though the rain did start to fall afterwards, the fun continued in the park with a vendors’ market, kids zone, live entertainment and more.

Volunteer divers and others helping them out hauled trash from the lake and sorted it on the beach.

The annual Cultus Lake Day event was in celebration of Cultus Lake Park’s 91st anniversary.
